Ely Woodard
Mechanic Technician
From a young age, I have been deeply involved in agriculture, particularly within the dairy and calf industries, where I gained hands-on experience and developed a strong work ethic. For as long as I can remember, my father has worked in the agricultural industry, and spending countless hours working alongside him and my grandfather further solidified my desire to pursue a long-term career in this field. Beginning at the age of eight, I worked with my grandfather at the dairy, where I learned fundamental responsibilities such as counting and managing ear tags, identifying and responding to sick cows, and assisting with challenging calf deliveries. These early experiences taught me the importance of attention to detail, animal health management, and teamwork.
While working with my father at the calf ranch, I continued to build practical skills by regularly driving through the lanes to inspect calf hutches, monitor overall herd health, and identify potential issues within the milk barns. This role reinforced the importance of consistency, accountability, and proactive problem-solving in maintaining animal welfare and operational efficiency.
Outside of work, I value spending quality time with my wife and our families, whether at home or while traveling. I also remain active by participating in co-ed softball and Olympic-style weightlifting, which help me maintain discipline, physical endurance, and a strong sense of balance between work and personal life.
